LPC or low pressure carburizing. LPC is ideal for carburizing parts without forming inner granular oxidation. Further the process is faster than conventional carburising and offers the advantage of a highly clean environment as no fluids or oils are used in the quench cycle. LPC is maximized when proper alloy selection is made.
The furnace line is fully automated with one [1] furnace with a maximum of six [6] carburizing cells with one [1] 20 bar high-speed gas quench cells. A pre oxidation furnace, temper chamber and wash system will support the installation. Load sizes up to 1,100 pounds can be processed with quenching every 20 minutes. Case depths of up to .060” depending on alloy can be achieved.  The new Silao plant is a nice complement for the newly established automated atmosphere line in Silao, Guanajuato.
